About me
I am hypnotherapist, coach, diversity advocate, parenting expert, and a qualified English language teacher… Sounds like a lot I know, but trust me it all links up beautifully...
In a nutshell, I help individuals treat themselves and each other with more compassion, so that we can all get on with be being brilliant.
I work with families and organisations, using science-backed tools to create environments where everyone can belong and feel great.
I am a qualified hypnotherapist and an experienced coach, and I use principles of restorative and relational practice, CBT and Compassion Focussed Therapy to inform my work.
I am a wellbeing specialist who has spent the last 15 years helping children, families and individuals live happier lives, by building meaningful relationships with themselves and those around them. I'm trained in evidence-based parenting support from pregnancy and throughout childhood, and I’ve worked with people who have access to a lot of resources, and many others who don’t. With experience in Youth Work, Mental Health, Children and Family Support Services, and International Education, I have truly worked with people from all walks of life and from all over the world.
"Everyone should have access to the information, tools and support that they need to take care of their mental health."
Did you know that a Harvard Study of Adult Development found that the quality of your relationships can impact your health more than factors like smoking, diet, or exercise?
As a busy mum of 3 young children and working in 3 different jobs, I understand more than most the power of connection as an antidote to stress.
Over the last 15 years, I've supported hundreds of children, families and adults to increase their self-compassion, reduce stress and maximise the quality of their relationships, whether at home, or at work. Even while juggling multiple priorities.
I've worked in services for children and families in Portsmouth and across Hampshire since 2006, as well as heading up wellbeing in a school for international students coming to the UK to learn English.
I believe that better emotional health should be accessible to everyone, and I am on a mission to share the simple tools that I have learnt from my work over the years.
I operate from a place of compassion, fun and kindness, using a strengths-based approach to build on what's already working well for you.
